The Lego Principle
by Pr Joey Bonifacio
Imagine a pile of Lego Peices. It doesn’t matter what size, shape, color or box it comes from – each was only designed to do one thing: to connect to the top and connect to the bottom. And because the Lego Pieces can do that, they can pretty much create any shape they want.
Similarly, Christians are created by God to do one thing: connect to God and connect to others. If we can do that, we can pretty much shape the world we live in. That’s why Jesus said that the two greatest commandments in all time is to “love God” and “love one another”.
The over-arching theme of life is that of relationships. This is why Jesus said “The world will know that you’re trully my disciples because you love one another. This is also the over-arching theme of the Bible. This is why God didn’t create man in the first day, not in the second day, the fourth day or the fifth.
But God created man in the sixth day, because his intent was, so that, when he woke up on the seventh day, the first thing he would see was not God working but resting and enjoying creation with Him. From the very beginning it was all about relationships.
