Samples of Architecture Renderings Using Felt Tip Pens (Markers)
There are different ways to render using markers, just like 30 different students will choose a million different lines while using the same marker and paper. It is important to simply discover the “general principles” of how Markers work. After getting the feel of the material, you may then find the time to discover the ‘other’ potentials of the medium.
Most artist think that markers are just used for sketcy perspectives, well, given a complete rendering set and lots of time, you can create a perspective that is full of detail.
And as usual, markers are the fastest way to color your Architecture Floor Plan or Landscape Plan.
Below is a Render of a Resort. Notice that the Final ink frames the edges of the marker and enhances the total rendering.
The next render is how to create a landscape using markers. See the texture of the lines used for the grass? ( Instead of a flat hatch)
You can create interesting contrast with markers and with an eye for detail, you can visualize any kind of architecture material imaginable!
Last, obviously, any conceptual or schematic drawings can easily look good with a few seconds of marker retouch 😉
