World Population Table Atlas

To understand the world, we have to look at it in a different light. While searching for information that I need to do my Marketing I happen to find this interesting table showing the relative sizes of Populations using circles and also showing the population sizes of the country including their urban population on their Capital or urban area.

The earth reaches a momentous milestone: by next year, for the first time in history, more than half its population will be living in cities. Those 3.3 billion people are expected to grow to 5 billion by 2030 — this unique map of the world shows where those people live now.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the world’s urban population was only 220 million, mainly in the west. Recently the fastest growing Continent is Africa with 3.2% from 2005-2010 while Europe is growing at 0.10% in the same period.

The Population Densities are also shown in the colors of each circle with increasing degree of urbanization.
