Iloilo-Bacolod Fastcraft and Ship Travel Schedule 2017
The cit1y of Iloilo has become one of the must-visit places in the country. With the growth of its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO – Call Center industry) and the blossoming of its coastal river paradise, it has become a magnetic attractor of tourist. I have seen it grow from my arrival here at 2014, with over 20 couples from Manila and all over the country relocating here. All for good reason.
A stone’s throw away from Iloilo is Bacolod City, an equally majestic city with a
pampering slow-paced life, delicious pastries and international gourmet cooking – from Italian Pastas, Japanese Restaurants, Korean Dining and Asian – Thai, Singaporean and Local cuisine. Bacolod is also home to the Art and Fashion Scene, Indie Film, Cars and lots of drinking, the life.
Logistics and Proximity
Since the 5-min plane flight from the old Iloilo Airport, there are no direct flights from Iloilo to Bacolod. But the twin cities is just separated by 44km of sea. The fastest most convenient and practical option is by fastcraft ferry.
So to say that this city is 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Iloilo is heaven-sent!
Travelling Bacolod-Iloilo
The Iloilo Fastferry Terminal is located in Lapuz along the river. From Iloilo City Proper find that jeepneys that ply to Lapuz – confirm that they pass to the “Bacolod Pier” as some jeepneys do not go this route.
On the other hand, the Bacolod Fastferry Terminal is in Downtown Reclaimation area near the SM Complex. From the Bacolod City Plaza, you can walk to the Manokan Country area where tricycles ride passengers to the pier for P10 for a group of 5 people.
